It was appropriate that on the 26th of October 15 people flew out to Gjakova to work with Victory Church in Kosovo. It was one person for each year the members of the congregation of Wellcome Church have been working with Victory Church.

This year over a third of the congregation went, along with almost as many family members.

Before we went Wellcome Church felt the song “I Speak. Jesus” had specific significance for this visit. Not only did we share the song on Sunday but also it encouraged us to pray for people while working with Victory Church on the social projects. Speaking the name of Jesus and knowing we were carriers of His presence.

This year we had a very full week,. We took out 13 32kg cases of clothes, shoes and tools.

We also managed to:-
• supply and deliver 30 food parcels
• source and collate 27 school bags
• rebuild a dwelling for a young couple
• repair 2 two toilets
• repair and refit 4 doors making homes warmer in the coming winter
• repair 6 windows to keep out the cold
• created a water tight storage unit for keeping bedding for 10 who live in a very small home
• fixing a water supply
• purchase 7 wood burning stove/heaters and installing 5 of them
• supply clothes and shoes
• purchase wood for the church wood burners for the coming winter
• help feed street homeless
• supply many other items e.g. mattresses, nappies, sanitary products, the list goes on
