During the morning we attended Victory Church Meeting. The songs were sung in both Albania and English. It’s at times like that you realise that a common faith and heart goes beyond countries, cultures and languages.
Andy and Gary both had the opportunity to speak. The subject was being closer to God.
It was great to meet with some of the people we have been supporting over the last few years.
After the meeting some of the team started sorting clothes ready to take to families, while others went off to buy the food parcels.
The team then went off to visit two nearby families. One girl was a budding singer and gave a rendition of “Recking ball”
Jan said that this family did not have many material possessions, but has so much potential and some many big dreams. The mum makes knitted slipper socks, which she makes from worn out jumpers which she unpicks to reuse the wool.
In the evening we all went out for a meal, but due to a faulty fuel gage on Faton’s car we did not realise it was totally out of diesel! It had to be pushed round the corner to the garage to be filled up.
